[Movies] Orz Boyz

The movie is told about two boys' story. The elder one is very smart and he had many ideas. So he always brought the younger one doing many things, like cheating their classmate. So they had the nickname "cheating No.1 and No.2" after they were punished by their teachers with "loving education". There are a legend "When they play the slide in the waterpark one hundred times, they can reach the place called "a different dimension(異次元)" where they shouldn't do the homework." So they began saving their money that they could buy the tickets of the waterpark. However, they had argument when the youger one won the coupon of Ka-Da huge model. The elder one grabed the coupon and chage the ticket to cash. The younger one got angry and turned hostile suddenly. So the elder regreted and he wanted to refund the money to the owner of the model shop. But the owner didn't want to refund the coupon to the boys. The younger one was very sad and cut off the friendship with another boy. The elder boy was disappointed, so he went back to the model shop and destoried the Ka-Da huge model. After he did that, he was brought to the gail by the police. How sad it is! After many years, the younger boy was the lifesaver in the waterpark. He met a boy wanted to go to the different dimension talked with the boy's father!

[Movies] Cape No.07

I think I should practice my English that I can type the notes easily. So, I post my reflections of viewing Cape NO.07. This is the Taiwanases' movie that showed the expression of Taiwan. The story told about the seven letters written by a Japanase who teaching in Taiwan many years ago and he must left Taiwan to Japan after the war fininshed in Taiwan. But these letters didn't send to the heroine. After many years, these letter were found by the writter's granddaughter and she sent these letters to Taiwan the present day. However, the address was not exist now and the postman (the mian actor) couldn't find the heroine. Some days later, the coincidence happened. The postman got the imformation that the hotel waitress is the heroine's granddauther. So, he sent these letters to the heroine immediately.

This is the story was told in the movie, but I think the funny parts are the reason of the successful movie. After I watched the movie, I felt much better. And the pressure of the work disappered suddenly. This is the movie I need to recommend to everybody.

[Extra 1] Why do you think some people are attracted to dangerous sports or other dangerous activities?

We all live in the comfortable environment without many confuse things. It is very boring to some people they do some dangerous sports and activities. Rock climbing, extreme sport, U-shape board, these dangerous sports are really attract their eyes. Just Because they are very exciting.

I thing I am the person like to do these dangerous activities. I love in-line skate and do some dangerous action like jump through the people lie on the ground. That sound crazy, but for me, it’s just a piece of cake and it is very safe. Why not play the game easier? Because the more things seem impossible I do, the more achievements I gain. That is the reason why many people like to do the dangerous sports.

I know some people like mountain climbing. They also gain the pleasure from the activities. They conquer the mountains and the weather then see the beautiful scenes on the top of the mountains. I think that is the reason why they would rather do the things to exchange the feeling in their minds.

Some people do many dangerous things and ignore the side effects and the safety, like driving the cars fast. Although they gain the pleasant sensation, they might hurt someone’s life innocent. I really don’t know what they want actually.

Many people always live their life at a repeat circle. Why not trying some more exciting thing? You can acquire the extra achievements you can image.

The New Year Resolution

The 2006 year passed so fast that there is not enough time to do many things I still want to do. With 2006 year passed, I finished the 3rd year of the colleges -- the most tired year in the colleges. Because of that, I spent many time in my lessons, I didn’t have enough time to do what I really want to do. Now, the 4th year in the colleges, the schoolwork is still hard. But I believe that I can still use the rare extra time to do my things besides of the lessons. I have some wishes in this New Year.

First, I wish I can pass the national exam of the doctors. Passing the exam is the most important thing for a medical student. If I don’t pass the exam, the country cannot accept me to be a doctor. So, I must study hard to pass the exam.

Second, I want to learn the jazz tom-tom. It’s sound laughable. For me, I didn’t learn any musical instrument ever. So, I wish I can learn one musical instrument at least all my life. Why is the jazz tom-tom? I had played some musical games last year. I am interested in these games like play the jazz tom-tom truly.

Third, I hope I can maintain the healthy body. In our college life, we play and learn for a long time. We play all night and forget the sufficiency sleep. We always ignore the health. What a terrible thing! So, I wish I can plan my time efficiency.

These three new year resolutions sound basically and compulsorily except of the second I mentioned. However, I didn’t do well last year. I hope I can do well in the 2007 year.

One skill to make your world?

One skill to make your world? -- What is a very important skill a person should learn in order to be successful in the world today? Choose one skill and use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.

What makes a successful person? As far as I am concerned, a successful person should possess humor in himself although it might seem not to be very important to most people.

The ability to make others laugh and enjoy being together with you, and people who are famous for their humor are rarely without friends. They can use the skill to make friends with many people who can help them in their occupations. You can image that someone’s speech with humor, so he can catch many people’s eyes. And then these people are glad to help the person if he need. What a useful skill it is!

There are many examples about successful people with humor. Like the famous literary authors Mark Twain. His articles are full of humors that make many readers laugh. Another famous example is American president Lincoln. He had many humorous talking so the people can remember him.

I know a person who has humor. He has a remarkable talent for finding something funny in any situation. Furthermore, his humor is always of a gentle kind. He never makes fun of people or get laugh out of another person’s embarrassment or physical disabilities. Everyone he knew is glad to talk with him. I am happy that he taught me some skill of humor.

Humor seems to be a very important skill when we talk to someone. If we talk without humor, we might make the listeners boring. So improving the skill is necessary in the world today. And in my opinion, humor can make people success.

The song reflect the lives the youngers took the drugs in America in 70’s. Many people became drug addicts. Even the artists also took drugs to find their inspiration. But it’s a wrong example.

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost -- Some people like to do only what they already do well. Other people prefer to try new things and take risks.

Choosing new things and taking risks might bring more success to a person but it might cause to fall. Sometimes I take some risk when I have no choice. However I always do what I already do.

The college entrees exam had almost decided my way in the future. I remember that I chosen the medicine just because of my parents’ expect. I confused for a long time and even suspected what I decided. But I cannot help but accept the situation. Now I change my mind and do my best in my duty with the time pass. Because I think the medicine not just can save the people’s lives. It also can make my life meaningful. So I do what I already do well.

Some people may think that is not the best choice. They might say that maybe I could do better when I take some risk. Their thinking also be alright but I have to say that maybe I might do worse when I take some risk. They only see the successful examples and ignore the unsuccessful ones.

Trying new thing might change some situations. Maybe better maybe worse. Although the faiths are the same, the choices are completely different and the results might be different. In my opinion, I would rather choose the normal way than the way with many risks. So I can avoid the unnecessary troubles.

I take the road without a lot of excites, but I avoid the risk too. I’ll be a doctor in the future and do what a doctor should do. That is the way what I choose.

Which type of movie do you prefer?

Some movies are serious, designed to make the audience think. Other movies are designed primarily to amuse and entertain. Which type of movie do you prefer?

I like movies designed primarily to amuse and entertain. Because it makes me laugh and let me happier when I am so disappointed. I can go to the movies without thinking to much. Though watching funny movies, I can relax for a while after a lot of works.

Many people live with many pressures on the earth. Going to movies is an excellent method to remove the pressures. For me, a student has pressures from the school lessons. I have to concentrate my attention on the lectures all day. I have no extra mind to be absorbed in the movies. So, in my opinion, going to the funny movies is the best choice.

Although the serious movies can let me acquire more from the movies. But, that is much tired to me. After tired daily works, I just want to do something that can relax my brain. I want to do something without using my mind. Serious movies may increase the burden for me.

The funny movies not only can relax me. They also have other advantages. For example, we can discuss with our friends more happily. We have more pleasing subjects to talk.

The two kinds of the movies have their different functions. Some people like serious movies, some like funny movies. They play different role in the life. Maybe some serious movies can affect someone during a whole lifetime. Funny movies can amuse me after a tired day. However, in my opinion, going to the movies is one kind of entertainments. If I must use more energy to understand the movie’s meaning, I think that is loose the meaning of entertainments.

Computers

The computer is a marvelous machine. Supermarket, banks, offices, schools are only a few of the places where computers are used every day. Millions of people on the earth use them to communicate with each other. For many people, computer games seem to be a part of their life. All in all, computers play an important role in our life. We could hardly live without computers anymore.

The computer has had a great effect on my life. It provides me a new method to learning. First, we can search some infromation through the internet that can deal with the problems we meet in our daily life. Second, some funny online games give me a lot of pleasure and help me forget my problems for a while. Finally, there are many programs, like MSN messenger, we can use to chat with my friend.

For college student in Taiwan, computers are necessaries. They spend many hour in front of the computers. They finish their homework and report with the computer program. They search the information they need from the Internet. They discuss the school things with their classmate through MSN messenger. The teachers make their handout to students with PowerPoint.

However, computers also breed many problems. Many people addict to computer games. They fail in their lecture and lost their credit hour. How incredible it is! Their are also many computer virus, that's always the serious problem. The hacker invade the government and steal the data even release the virus or erase the data. That couse many serious problems.

All in all, we must get the balance about using the computers. Computer can help us completing many things but it's also cause many problems. How can we provide the disadvantages of the computer hinge on our minds.

My Chinese name is Lin Guan Shiau, I moved to Taichung when I studied in National Taichung First Senior High School. Now, I entered to Chung Shan Medical University. I'm still in Taichaung!

I have a lot of hobbies. In-line skate is my favorite. When I saw my friends pass the cones on the ground with the skating shoes. I determined to learn how to play in-line skate immediately. So I spent almost five years playing this, and now I can play hockey with my friends, pass the cones with more complicated actions, jump over 8 people lying on the ground. I expect that I can break my record someday!

In order to add more pleasure in my school life, I have to learn many things to improve my abilities. So I expect to learn more English writing skill in this class and other skills about skating through the skating club in our school.
